    Calamari with soy sauce

    This already common combination of vegetables and sea fruits, with its specific taste which it gets from wine and soy sauce, is perfect for all admirers of the Oriental culture and, of course, of the Oriental cuisine.
    Ingredients:
    300 g   calamari
    2 com   carrots
    50 ml   white vine
    30 ml   soya sauce
    1/2 teaspoon   sugar
    1 com   green pepper
    1 teaspoon   ground red pepper - paprika
    a bit   sunflower-oil
    a bit   pepper
    a bit   sunflower-oil
    1 bulb   onions
    a bit   salt
    1 teaspoon   starch flour
    Preparation


    Clean the carrots.




    Peel the onion and cut it into small rings.




    Clean the green pepper, remove the seeds and cut it the same way like the onion.




    Boil the carrots.




    Cut the boiled carrots into sticks.




    Clean and wash the calamari and dry them well in a clean dish-cloth. Cut the calamari into rings, put them in a dish of adequate size and season them with salt and pepper.




    Mix it all well.




    Frying of calamari


    Warm up oil in a deeper frying pan.




    Add the calamari and fry them for about 15 minutes.




    Take the calamari out from the pan, strain them to remove the excess of the oil and put them away. Pour oil again and warm it up.




    Fry the onion.




    Add the green pepper and fry it until it becomes soft.




    Add the carrot and fry it all shortly.




    Return the calamari into the pan.




    Preparation of sauce


    Put a teaspoon of starch-flour into a separate dish and add water gradually. Mix it well.




    Pour the wine.




    Pour the soy sauce.




    Add the paprika and half of a teaspoon of sugar and mix it all well.




    Pour the sauce into the pan and leave it to be cooked until it achieves the wanted thickness.




    Don’t worry, the excess of water will evaporate soon and the starch-flour will do its job.


    Serving


    Serve some rice with the prepared calamari.
