Beef Goulash
We wrote this recipe for everyone who wants to round out what they know about making goulash, and for those who have not yet dared to try this slightly involved but very tasty and well-loved dish.

Sweating the onions

Peel the onions and chop them finely.

Heat the oil and fry the onions until they turn deep golden.

When the onions are well fried, pour in water and let them stew for about 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, cut the meat into cubes.

When the onions are soft, add 2 teaspoons of paprika, a few bay leaves and the beef.

Pour in water, stir, add the parsley and leave to simmer.

About fifteen minutes before the goulash is done, add the vegetable seasoning and the tomato juice, then season with salt and pepper to taste.

Tip: The longer it cooks, the better the goulash. Remember to stir it from time to time.

Right at the end, add a teaspoon of basil and cook for another 2–3 minutes.
